August update - Part two PDF Print E-mail
Just tidying up a bit, post concert, which always takes a day or two.
I have now got my first tracks onto I-Tunes. This is a very exciting step forward in making Yorview artist material available digitally. All the Tim Hunter/Northern Soundscapes material currently available on 7 Digital will be on the I-Tunes store by the end of September.

Well, it's gig day tomorrow! Have you seen our fabulous banner outside Henshaw's?  Another promotional innovation. We're also on Twitter, now, by the way.
This morning I have been looking at how I can transfer my downloads over from 7 Digital onto another provider, as 7 digital are unfortunately closing their indiestore in September. On the new facility (to be announced) I am hoping to have much more stuff available. It will enable Yorview artist content (including Northern Soundscapes) to be delivered worldwide to all the major on-line stores and download sites. More news when I have uploaded some stuff.

July Update : Part two PDF Print E-mail
We are now preparing for the Tangent gig on August 22nd. We are very lucky to have managed to book the band for Knaresborough, on one of their few UK performances. This is an internationally acclaimed band and they have been playing recently in Italy. It's worth listening to some of their music, they have many MP3 sample tracks available which you can preview on Amazon. Stop Press: I have just bought a copy of 'Down and Out in London and Paris' it really is excellent. Don't miss this band!
Next, 'Life In A Traffic Jam' is storming ahead, with a massive 125 extra plays during the month. Northern Soundscapes have a new bass/lead guitarist and the band will use drum backing tracks rather than a drummer.

Loads of news:
Stop Press: have you seen the brilliant Yorview rock club write up this week (16/7/10) in the Harrogate Advertiser?
Firstly, we've finally broken the 1000 barrier for plays of 'Life In A Traffic Jam'. We're now rehearsing for the August 22nd support slot. It looks like we're outgrowing the support concept fast as we are hoping to have a full line up very soon.

June Update - Part two PDF Print E-mail
As you can see from the review, the SeYeS gig was sensational, it's just a shame more people didn't turn up.
I have started to wonder if it might be better (for gigs inside Henshaw's) to just have the band’s backline (which is often exceptionally good) plus live drums and then just have a basic vocal PA. However, there WILL be full PA and lighting for The Tangent on August 22nd.
